watched it, I've seen enough commercials to get the gist of it - amy grant shows
up in some town in America and finds three people who have a wish and then the
Network grants it and they tell a heartwarming tale about how deserving these
people are, and how this wish changes their
lives.
...On each episode, they show up in a small town and pick three people who are happy and content with life - the types of people who are bubbly and cheery no matter what (you know who I'm talking about and you want to puke just as much as I do). Then, for each of these people, they create some sort of trauma for them - like they make it look like the family pet got run over by a car, get them fired from their job, make it look like their partner has been cheating on them , give them false medical test results, kidnap a family member. They can show the planning process and reactions, and when happy-go-lucky people have completely broken down, everyone in on the gag yells out "Sucks to be you!". ...And of course, there wouldn't be any permanent damage (they won't actually run Fluffy over. They'll just position some roadkill and take the pet to a pet hotel). ...Between this and my totally awesome idea for "Average Chimp" (the answer to Average Joe where beautiful women think they're going on a reality show with a bunch of handsome men but it turns out that all the "men" are chimpanzees), I think I've got a promising future as a reality tv show producer. sensationalize little factoids, but I do like that he is very readable. I'm not
sure if that's two sides of the same coin though...
